Your account

Create an account with an email address and a password. Once you're signed in, your plan saves to your account automatically and syncs — so you can close the tab, come back later, or open the app on another computer, and your numbers are right where you left them. There's a small save indicator so you can see when your work has synced.

To sign up or sign in, open the app and follow the prompts. If you ever forget your password, use the Forgot password link to get a reset link by email.

Free vs premium

Retirement Forecast has a genuine free tier — not a locked-up demo. These are free forever:

• the forecast itself (the month-by-month projection),
• your run-out date (when the money runs out) — and it's an honest number:

taxes, Social Security taxation, and RMDs are already built in, not hidden behind a paywall,

• the charts (balance over time and per-account drawdown),

Your free trial

Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial of premium — the full set of features, no credit card required. When the trial ends, your account drops to the free plan. Nothing is deleted and nothing breaks: your plan, your run-out date, your charts, and your saved data all keep working. The premium tools simply become locked until you subscribe, with a note showing what's behind them.

You can subscribe at any time — during the trial or after — to keep premium:

Managing billing and signing out

Everything account-related lives in the account menu — click your email with the small arrow (▾) in the header. From there you can:

• Manage billing — opens a secure billing portal to update your card, switch

between monthly and annual, or cancel.

• Sign out.

Local mode (no account)

The app can also run in local mode, with no account at all. In local mode your plan is saved only in your browser on the device you're using — it isn't synced to an account and won't follow you to another computer. It's private and convenient for a quick look, but because it lives in one browser, clearing your browser data can erase it. For anything you want to keep, create an account.
