AI review

A grounded assistant that reads your real plan and results, then suggests concrete moves — and answers a question you type.

What it is

AI review is an assistant that reads *your* plan — not generic retirement advice — and suggests specific, concrete moves. The key word is grounded: before it says anything, it's handed a summary of your real numbers and results, so its suggestions are about your situation, not a stranger's.

What it can see

When you ask for a review, the app assembles a compact summary of your plan and sends it along. That summary includes:

  • your projection and run-out date (from the main forecast),
  • your odds of success (Monte Carlo),
  • your what-if outcomes (the levers),
  • your best Social Security timing option,
  • how your plan compares to your real spending — whether your assumed spending

matches your actual trailing average, and whether the plan looks out of date (see Understanding your numbers), and

  • whether taxes are modeled in your plan.

Because it sees all of that, it can say things like "your plan runs out at 84, but delaying Social Security to 70 pushes that to 89, and your spending is running 12% above your assumption" — tied to your actual figures.

How to use it

  1. Open the AI review lens.
  2. Optionally, type a question in the box — for example, *"How can we retire

two years earlier?"* or *"What's the biggest risk in this plan?"*

  1. Click Review my plan.

You can leave the question blank for a general review, or ask something specific to steer the answer. The response comes back as a short written analysis you can read right there.

  • The analysis service must be configured. AI review depends on an analysis

service being set up for the app. If it isn't available, you'll see a friendly message instead of a result rather than an error — the rest of the app keeps working normally.

It's guidance, not advice

The AI review is an educational tool, not financial, tax, or investment advice, and it isn't a licensed advisor. It can be wrong or miss context you know about your own life. Treat its suggestions as a starting point for your own thinking — and, for big decisions, a conversation with a qualified professional.
